Why Your Gut Is Making You Sick & What To Do About It: Online Course

by lydia on November 25, 2012

It’s likely you’ve heard the quote ‘All disease begins in the gut’ stated by Hippocrates over 2000 years ago. Today more than ever this statement is becoming a glaringly obvious reality. Just look at all the TV ads for some kind of over-the-counter or prescription drug geared to help with symptoms related to digestive complaints. Not many of us have stopped to take the time to understand the underlying problems going on within our digestive tracts. Yet, likely, we’ve all had some level of ongoing digestive upset. That’s why I am offering this online course; ‘Why Your Gut Is Making You Sick & What To Do About It‘.

Do you experience any of these digestive complaints/symptoms on a regular basis?

  • Belching or gas within one hour of eating
  • Heartburn or acid reflux
  • Bloating within one hour of eating
  • Bad breath
  • A sense of excess fullness after meals

I have leaky gut syndrome that presents with an intolerance to hidden corn in foods, medications & nutritional supplements. Do your suggestions for managing digestive problems account for food intolerances/sensitivities/allergies?

lydia October 31, 2012 at 2:14 pm

Yes, absolutely Diana!

Have you ever heard of GAPS (Dr Natasha Campbell-Mcbride)? If so do you believe in her work? I KNOW I have Leaky Gut. 4 years ago my knees started hurting and the Medical Doctors called it Runners Knee. Long story short after paying for orthopedics, medicines I never needed, stress, and no success I have come to believe I have Leaky Gut because it makes so much sense for my symptoms. Also I have been on an elimination diet for quite some time and guess what. If I eat ONLY protein, water, salt, eggs, and apple cider vinegar my knee pain COMPLETELY goes away! Also have had a multitude of X-Rays, MRI\’s, CT-Scans, a Nuclear Stress Test, antibiotics, pain medication, blood pressure meds, and more within the last 4 years. Oh and guess what, my high BP (171/101) is now normal (118/70) when I eat only what I stated above. I am on the right track I believe but scared of fermenting my own foods and am wanting to take probiotics but want the correct probiotics (w/o dairy, gluten, soy, chemicals, .etc.). Want to do this right to heal right and feel good again. GAPS for me seems to be the right thing to do. Sorry for venting like this but it helps. Any advice?

Mark,

Yes, I am very familiar with GAPS and have done it myself for a short time, along with the Introduction diet. It sounds like you are on the right path and I do think GAPS would be excellent for you – especially since what you can tolerate is so limiting. The course I am teaching will help you to better understand what is going on with your digestion and how to tackle repairing it so you can enjoy more freedom with the foods you eat and heal the damage that is done. I will cover the most therapeutic probiotics out there and we will talk about how to properly ferment foods – that is a huge piece of the healing puzzle right there. Would love to have you come join my course!

You are welcome to ‘vent’ anytime…..

Can I just take one of the courses or do I have to buy all of the weeks? I value your opinion but do not have a lot of money to spend. I am very happy that the woman from “Loving Our Guts” told me about you. She is so helpful every time I ask her questions. So are you!

lydia December 3, 2012 at 1:34 pm

Mark,

I am currently only offering the course as a whole and not in parts.

Yes, Patty from Loving Our Guts is a great help!
