There is something so fascinating about my line of work [nutritional therapy] that pairs so well with my unique personality. First of all, let me share a little about my personality in case you haven’t been around long enough to learn what I’m all about. If you’ve ever taken the Myer’s Brigg’s Personality test, you probably already know your own dominate personality [take a personality test for free, here]. Mine happens to be I-N-F-J. That stands for; introvert, iNtuitive, feeling and judging. (if you want to learn more about the 16 different personality types, you can go here).

INFJ at Work

At work, the INFJ is focused on the task of bettering the human condition. INFJs are dedicated, helpful, and principled workers who can be relied on to envision, plan, and carry out complex projects for humanitarian causes.

Although they are typically driven by lofty ideals, ‘Counselors’ [the overall title given to this personality type is ‘Counselor’] gain the most satisfaction from their work when they can turn their ideas into reality, creating constructive change for other people.

INFJs are typically organized and prefer work that allows them to complete projects in an orderly manner. They are often independent and tend to prefer a quiet environment that allows them the opportunity to fully develop their own thoughts and ideas.

The ideal work environment for an INFJ is harmonious, industrious, and oriented to a humanitarian mission, with co-workers who are similarly committed to positive change. The ideal job for a ‘Counselor’ allows them to use their creativity in an independent, organized environment to develop and implement a vision that is consistent with their personal values.

Popular career paths for someone with an INFJ personality include; writer, counselor and nutritionist, three aspects of my overall work. INFJs are also very creative and quite insightful, two qualities that give me the very reason to write and share this blog with the greater public in the first place.

My Work & Vision

One of the overarching goals I have for my work/blog/courses/consults is to reach the world with a grand vision paired with realistic and practical plans to help implement positive changes that benefit the overall health of individuals and families.  I am a creative solver of people ‘problems’, in this case, health concerns. I also pride myself in bringing innovative ideas to foster greater potential in others when it comes to wellness.
I am happy to say, my life’s work is my passion and is fueled by the very essence of who I uniquely am. Since this is the case, I am not ultimately in this for ‘the money’, though that is an important benefit. I am more involved in my work because it brings me deep fulfillment to know I can impact the lives of others in such a profound way.

Where You Come In

The main reason I am here doing what I do with both my blog and my online courses, is you! You, my readers, are the reason I am here. If it weren’t for you, I would not be a very fulfilled useful person now would I be?
vitality-images On a day to day basis, people write to me with their frustrations, concerns and health issues. There is not one day that goes by where I don’t run into someone that can benefit from what I have to offer.
Just the other night I was out to dinner with some lovely folks and just through casual conversation learned of many of their ongoing health complaints. I’m convinced that there is not one person alive today that could not use some guidance on how to improve their health. Many people accept poor health as normal however, and that to me is very sad indeed. What I find remarkable is that there aren’t many people that are willing to find answers and just accept their less than stellar health as tolerable.
Now, I’m not saying that in any way as a judgement, but simply mentioning it as more of an overall mentality that needs to shift dramatically in our culture. We are in a position where we cannot afford to be passive about our health. The problem is, many people aren’t able to get answers to their issues from the people society deems the place to get answers from. So what happens? People just accept their ailments as fate since doctors don’t have all the answers.
Here is where YOU come in. YOU my friend are the one who gets to decide YOU are worth fighting for. YOU are the one who cares most about YOUR own health. YOU are the one that has to live with the problems YOU face and only YOU can’t exert the effort to fight for a better existence for YOURSELF. And the very awesome thing about this is YOU can do those very things, and I am here to help you attain your health goals!
