How to Dress Like You Are Worth It

by lydia on May 12, 2017

Do you dress like you are worth it? Do you wear things that you like, that light you up, that you enjoy wearing, and make you happy and feel good about yourself?

What your clothes say about you … it’s not just about ‘fashion.’ It’s about self-care, self-worth and wanting your outside to reflect what is on the inside.

When we look in the mirror and like what we are seeing, we are essentially telling ourselves we like ourselves. It’s the ultimate act of self-care, in other words, how much you care about yourself. It’s more about your attitude than what you are actually wearing, but dang girl, it sure is fun to find clothes that reflect our inner truth. And, we get to express ourselves for who we are uniquely….that’s huge! It means we are valuing our unique personality by allowing our personal style to show!

I used to not understand how important this was because I never really valued myself.

Maybe you’ve already heard me talk about healing from adrenal fatigue and a big part of that was re-framing my mindset and really learning to love myself.

You see, I grew up with very little self-worth, which led to me marrying someone who also did not value me. Not to mention, all the relationships prior to that where I just didn’t believe enough in myself or know my worth.

This led to how I viewed myself both inside and out. It led to me not prioritizing my own self-care, especially when it came to my outer beauty.

For years, I accepted hand-me-downs that were ill-fitting, not stylish, and not even attractive on me. I didn’t feel like it was okay for me to splurge on myself and that I had to sacrifice that area of my life so I could make room in my budget for more of the kids’ needs.

This led to me never wanting to go out because I felt insecure about my appearance.

It led to me feeling unattractive, even though people told me all the time how pretty I was. It led to me feel small and not able to shine with confidence, like I do now.

Not knowing my own self-worth for so many years of my life felt quite crippling, actually. I never knew how to do my hair or wear my makeup, mostly because I didn’t ever believe I deserved to take the time away from other areas of my life to make myself look attractive on the outside.

And here’s the thing, I really want to impart through this tale I’m sharing…

Without self-worth and if you don’t think you are valuable, you will end up surrounding yourself with people who don’t value you and it won’t help you with your health goals either.

Ask me how I know.

After spending significant time focused on deeper healing body, mind, soul and spirit through coaching and emotional freedom support….I  FINALLY started to allow my outside match up with how I  was feeling on the inside. And guess what?

People are more noticeably affected by me when I show up with confidence radiating my inner beauty. I get to attract people to myself and share my unique gifts and passion with the world, and I’ll be damned if that’s not immensely valuable.

So, you want to know how to dress like you are worth it? You’ve got to know deep down that you are SO FREAKING WORTH IT!

That all shared, here’s one of my FAVORITE ways to dress like I am worth it… it’s so fun and super convenient too because it saves you time! Check out the videos below…
